Join us for a full-day, hands-on Project Learning Tree (PLT) workshop at Camp El Tesoro designed for educators, youth leaders, and camp staff who want to bring environmental education to life. Participants will explore the award-winning Explore Your Environment: K–8 Activity Guide, featuring 50 TEKS-aligned lessons that use trees, forests, and the outdoors as a window into real-world science, math, language arts, and social studies.
Through interactive, outdoor-based learning, participants will discover how PLT activities foster critical thinking, problem solving, and stewardship in both formal and non-formal settings. Whether you teach in a classroom, lead programs at a camp, or work with youth in community settings, you’ll gain practical tools to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that connect them to nature.
Participants will receive a copy of the Explore Your Environment: K–8 Activity Guide and access to digital resources that make it easy to integrate PLT into lesson plans, after-school programs, and camp activities year-round.
