TCI Phase I is a week long professional development camp for classroom teachers of all grades, non-formal educators, or anyone interested in teaching youth about forestry and conservation education. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Classroom teachers of all grades, non-formal educators, or anyone interested in teaching youth about forestry and conservation education.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Receive training in Project Learning Tree’s interdisciplinary environmental education curriculum designed to teach students critical and creative thinking.
  •  Interact with foresters, biologists, loggers, landowners, and mill workers who care for forests and make products you use every day.
  •  Tour a forestry museum, seedling nursery, family owned tree farm, timber harvest operation and forest product manufacturing facilities.
  • 40 hours SBEC CPE credit and 40 hours TEEAC credit.
COST
  • $250 registration fee includes curriculum, Monday-Thursday lodging, meals, and field trip transportation.
  • Registration is open March 1-May 31. Register early to avoid waitlist.
